This our second year working with BCL. During the first year Ben and his team supported us through an OFSTED monitoring visit. Ben came to the meeting and was very knowledgeable about our school, historic attendance issues and the planned actions for moving forward and what we could do to improve attendance as a school and a reduction of persistent absentees.

Attendance was a line of OFSTED’s enquiry, but due the analysis and work Ben completed they were happy that this was an improving picture and as a school we were doing everything possible to improve.

BCL have introduced the termly data pack, half termly tracker that is sent to all parents, meetings with parents as well as home visits when children are not in.

At the end of the academic year, attendance had increased by 3.2%, and down by 7.6% of persistently absentee children.

We are looking forward to working with BCL this academic year (2024-2025) and continuing to improve our attendance.
